Synopsis
Leonardo is a well-known industrial designer who lives with his wife
Ana, their daughter Lola and the maid, Elba, in the only house built by
the great architect Le Corbusier in South America, located in the city of
La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His prestige as a designer is owing
to a chair, which won awards worldwide. One morning, the peaceful
routine of his home is disrupted by some building work starting
on the house next door - a neighbor is installing an unauthorized
window looking onto Leonardo’s home. Victor, the neighbor, is an odd
extrovert, whose manner is simultaneously friendly and threatening.
Leonardo detests him yet is fascinated into submission. This incident
begins to take over Leonardo’s time and interests, distancing him
from his home and family. His growing obsession affects his work, his
family, and his personality. Due to pressure from his wife and Victor’s
unfulfilled promises to finish the work, Leonardo goes to pieces – until
a chance event offers a solution to the problem.
