                                               Synopsis
                                               This movie shows the life of human rights activist Estela de Carlotto,
                                               leader of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires,
                                               Argentina, from the disappearance of her daughter up to the present.
                                               The film presents her transformation during her life from the search
                                               of a wife, mother, and grandmother to the fight of ideals of justice
                                               to reconciliation and reunions. Her tireless struggle made her story
                                               and that of her family famous, reflecting the thousands of similar
                                               experiences of the Argentine dictatorship and the fight over more
                                               than 30 years for recognition of the rights of families who lost their
                                               loved ones like hers.
