and of talking about problems to them, we recommend watching Vivir para siempre
(2010), directed by Gustavo Ron. This movie is full of important positive (presence of

Another aspect that can be taught in a very practical and effective way is communication
style, which is so important when looking to build emotional and social skills. With older
high school students, we recommend watching Te doy mis ojos (2003), by Icíar Bollaín. This
film is a terrifying example of aggressive communication that explains how fear makes
your communication passive, impairing your ability to explain or defend your interests,
wants or desires. It also exemplifies different communication registers, for example, when
the protagonist talks to his psychologist, he is able to express himself in a calmer, more
rational way (assertive), because in that moment, he is not “hijacked” by his emotions.
