34 Have we arrived at a journalism industry without journalists? Not quite, though it is
certainly true that the sector is facing unprecedented challenges. The financial decline
of media outlets, precariousness within the profession, reduced credibility of information,
use of the media by business, political, sectorial, and social groups are all examples of
these challenges.
And yet, you know what? These stories have already been told by the cinema throughout
its history

Platino Educa sponsored “Cantatas for Christmas, by Johann Sebastian
Bach”, performed by Bach Madrid Project on December 18 and 19, 2020, at
the Basílica Pontificia de San Miguel (English: Pontifical Basilica of St. Michael).
The choir performed the Christmas Oratorio Cantata BWV 248 V (Ehre sei dir, Gott, gesungen/
Let honour be sung to You, O God), the Cantata BWV 133 for the Third Day of Christmas, (Ich
freue mich in dir/I rejoice in You), and Cantata BWV 147 (Herz un Mund und Tat und Leben/
Heart and mouth and deed and life). The instrumental and vocal ensemble was conducted
by Óscar Gershensohn, with the voices of Inma Férez (Soprano), Laia Cortés Calafell (Alto),
Fran R. Braojos (Tenor), and Elías Arranz (Bass).
Bach Madrid Project is a cultural, artistic, and educational project that was born out of the
ambition to give continuity to more than two decades of conductor Óscar Gershensohn’s intense,
extensive work around the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach. The project focuses on
three themes: Cantata Concerts, Bach Classrooms, and the Children and Youth Choir. It also
incorporates audiovisual broadcasting through the production company Tirabeque. For more
